Since 2011, SOTEREM has developed a line of ultra-low shocks non-explosive separator nuts.

These mechanisms are proposed as an alternative to existing pyrotechnics actuators. After release, the mechanism can be reset in situ with a dedicated tooling, without being dismantled.
