Newspace Factory X Arianeworks Workshop
You have imagined solutions to facilitate access to the space for nanosatellites? You carry technological bricks that can contribute to the emergence of solutions? We propose to come discuss this topic during a dedicated workshop on November 5-6, 2019 in Toulouse, and to identify all the winning solutions.
CONTEXT :
Access to space for small satellites remains a subject of great interest, driven by the hope of opening the doors of space to the greatest number. The launch of a nanosatellite is still constrained today by the cost and the occurrence of a suitable launch. We thus observe a multitude of proposals, with very different approaches, emanating for the most part from new entrants in the space sector: microleaker, electric or chemical propulsion system, powered deployer, hosting payload, etc. French and European solutions are beginning to emerge, attracted by the potential for export (US and Asian markets) and supported by the emergence of domestic demand, motivated by a desire for independence (ESA, Ministry of the Armed Forces, Community scientist). It is in this context that the teams of ArianeWorks and Newspace Factory have decided to organize this call for common and dedicated solution, in order to allow the Launcher community on one side and Satellite on the other side to meet and exchange on their respective approaches.
PRINCIPLE :
The proposed solution call is to question the French ecosystem on global solutions or relevant technological bricks to facilitate access to short-term nanosatellites space (3 years). All solutions are to consider. The needs to be considered are detailed below. Stakeholders interested in this approach will have to make a concrete contribution to these needs. They will be invited to present their contribution and discuss it during a workshop to be held in Toulouse. The open discussion of the workshop should make it possible to consolidate and then identify the most relevant approaches, by categories of need. At the exit, the objective is to highlight teams carrying one or more projects and to accompany them on the next steps.
CANDIDATURE:
The call for solution is open to all, private or public actors, companies, laboratories or universities / schools, space or not.The workshop will be voluntarily limited in number of participants to keep a size adapted to the debate. Only teams offering a concrete contribution to the expressed need will be invited to participate. Holders may participate alone or in a team, on their behalf or on behalf of their entity. Participation in the workshop is free. This meeting is organized over 2 days, an afternoon of presentation and brainstorming, an evening of relaxation / networking, and a morning of consolidation and global synthesis. Leworkshop will be held on November 5 and 6, 2019 at B612, 3 Tarfaya Street in Toulouse. To apply, thank you to express your interest before October 10th completing the following form:
